    03. POST - GRADUATION & PR PATHWAY

Your Route from Graduation to Residency

    Step 01 · Stay-Back Visa

Master’s graduates receive a post-study work visa (called the RECE or APS
permit) allowing them to stay for 12 months to find a job. Under a bilateral agreement,
Indian graduates can extend this up to 5 Years.

Step 02 · Work Permit Conversion

To convert your post-study visa into a regular work permit, you
must secure a job relevant to your degree. Paying at least 1.5 times the minimum wage.

Step 03 · The "Talent Passport" Shortcut

    • If your salary is higher (above roughly €39,500/year) or you
work in an in-demand tech/innovative role, you automatically bypass standard labor market
tests and get a multi-year executive work visa.

    Accelerated PR/Naturalization

While standard permanent residency requires 5 years of
living in France, the government fast-tracks the timeline down to 2 years of continuous
residence for graduates who complete a Master's degree at a French university (provided
you work, pay taxes, and speak conversational French).
